Our Team
Sarah Sullivan-Director/Lead Cub Teacher
I am Sarah, the Executive Director and the Lead Teacher for the Cub classroom. My degree is in Psychology with an emphasis on child development and family studies. I have taught early childhood education for over 30 years, am a behavioral specialist, and I have a strong background in business. This will be my third year here at the Children’s Center! Although I have worked with children from pre-k to12th grade – littles are my joy. I love creating and implementing curriculum – watching kiddos grow and learn through new experiences. I also enjoy teaching nature-based science, and art of all kinds! The messier the better! I do love paint and glitter!! In my free time I am an artist, an avid crafter of all kinds, a photographer, and I enjoy anything out in nature! Not only do I work with kids at school, I am the proud mom of five wonderful adults!
LeAnna Plasencia- Assistant Director/Lead Owl Teacher
I am the lead owl teacher and assistant director here at the Children’s Center. I have a degree in Primary Education and have been teaching here for over four years. Working with young children is my passion, I love watching their curiosity grow and their imaginations take off! I especially enjoy teaching STEM activities and introducing basic Spanish into our day. I always aim to make learning fun, engaging, and meaningful. Every day is an adventure in my classroom, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything (except a nap maybe). When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me gaming (Video and Board), adventuring with my puppy and partner, or on the hunt for shiny gems and cool rocks to toss in my rock tumbler! Ask me about my rock collection!
Jeannie Swartz- Assistant Cub Teacher
I am a dedicated preschool teacher with nearly four years of experience here at the Children’s Center, and everyday continues to be a joyful adventure. I absolutely love working with children-watching them grow, learn, and discover the world around them is truly inspiring. Whether it’s diving into a fun art project or guiding them through hands-on experiences, I believe in making every moment meaningful and playful. Seeing each child’s personality shine through their work is one of my favorite parts of the day. Helping to shape these young minds is not just a job for me but a passion!
Nonni Sullivan- Substitute Teacher
Hi, my name is Nonni! I’m a substitute teacher covering positions in both classes whenever I’m needed. I’m also currently a student at the University of Montana, where I’m working towards a degree in animation. I love working with the kids. It’s such a personal joy for me to see how much they learn and grow every single day. One of my favorite things is joining them in imaginary play. They always have the best and craziest new ideas for how the story should take shape! Because of this, being in the classroom is a huge source of inspiration for me, especially for my art. The creativity and unending enthusiasm I see exhibited by our children remind me why I fell in love with storytelling in the first place. Their imagination and openness to the world constantly spark new ideas and help me stay connected to my own sense of creativity, both as an artist and as a teacher.
Cassie Morrison-Assistant Owl Teacher
